   Hi Chris,
   I’m currently considering buying an Avalon D300A and I was wondering if you could share your opinion on the guitar with me before I take the plunge. I haven’t ever played one you see. Even better if you had a recording of it acoustically.

     Sorry only just seen this now!
     all I can say is it’s the best guitar i’ve played let alone owned! I got with the fishman infinity pickup (I think it’s called that – the one without the internal boom mic too) I’ve not recorded properly as such but the tech guys at church have commented it hardly needs EQing at all when through our system (we have a nice system from wigwam) some don’t EQ it at all.
     If in doubt and you are anywhere near Leeds feel free to come and have a go on mine!
