I love the fact that Charles Wesley the great hymn writer used to nick the tunes from the popular songs of his day – This is something that I feel we can tap into today (all be it delicately due to copyright laws now days!) It must be hard for people coming to church and singing a bunch of random songs, I think its great if we can help them settle using riffs or vocal lines they will know as part of our musical worship
